The Chinese Emperor Qin ascended to the throne at aged 13 in 246 BCE (Before Common Era). Work on his burial chamber began soon after at which time he ordered the construction of a Terracotta Army. This army was to protect him in the afterlife. Estimates put the army at 8000 soldiers , 130 Chariots and 670 horses
